Our house...as a zoo

I told y'all about our bad dog...but what about all the other animals in our household?? Let me introduce them all to you.

Maizy isn't our only dog; she is our puppy. But we have another dog. She's the same kind...except that she's 16. She's our old, old doggy. I'm not going to post a picture...there's not that much too see. She's partway blind and deaf...so...yeah.

Now about our water animal--Huck, the fish. His real name is Huckleberry Finn (Get it?) but his nickname is Huck. He's a beta fish. We used to have 2...but then one died.

Our family has never had much luck with rodents. So far we've had 3 Guinea pigs and 16 Hamsters altogether. (AHH!!!) We only have three hamsters now...and if anyone would like one, please let us know.

So those are the animals that live in our house.

Bad Dog

Yes, that is the nickname of our dog...our very bad dog. Her actual name is Maizy...but her nickname is "bad dog".

She's a innocent-looking bichon frise to some, but those who actually know her aren't decieved. They know the true Maizy.

She may be cute and snuggly, but she's bad--that's all there is to it.

(I don't really dislike her...I mean, she can be good if she tries. I'm just trying to make this point clear: She can be very bad.)

I'm hoping... that I'll be able to help coach all the Saturday clinics. ('cause we might be gone one or two Saturdays)

What we're studying in history

No, not another gymnastics movie. ;) But you should watch it. It's like you wouldn't know what was happening with the smoke and stuff if you didn't already know.

Switching Rooms

Lately our family has decided to switch rooms: something that happens every once in a while. All of the sisters in our family share rooms: Gab and I are roommates, and Annette and Josie are also. At the moment Annette and Josie have the larger room that's painted beautifully. Gab and I have the smaller room with a walk-in closet. (It's really pretty small....and so I wonder why they would put such a big closet in it.) So, we are going to switch rooms. Gab and I get the bigger one and Annette and Josie get the smaller one.
There's a lot of moving that's going on right now. Some of us are more excited then others. Just this morning somebody said to me:

"Please say you want to switch rooms! Please?!? You'll just make my day if you do!"

Unfortunately, our room has been ours long enough that there is a lot (let me repeat that: A LOT) of stuff in it, definitely more then a room our size should have. We have a lot of cleaning to do.

So....hopefully I'll post pictures as soon as we're switched!

Cooking Competition: RESULTS!!!

We had 4 judges taste the 3 dishes.

1 said Emilie, Josie, and mine (Vivi's).

1 said Carter and Annette's

And 2 said Micah and Gab's.

Hollymead Swim Meet Pictures!

Hollymead Swim Meet!

Yesterday night we had a swim meet against Hollymead! But sadly, it was canceled at 10:30.

I swam 18 (medley relay, and I got 1st), 28 (50 free, and I got 3rd), 58 (50 breastroke, and I got 1st), and would have swum 68 (100 free).

Vivi swam 16 (relay), 36 (50 fly), 56 (50 breastroke), and 66 (100 free).

I'm going to post pictures in a separate post because it's really hard to type in between them and stuff.

Cooking Competition: PASTA

Yesterday we had a pasta cooking competition: Pasta. We chose that because we wanted to eat carbs for the swim meet tonight. So we went to some friends' house and they did it with us.

Here are the rules for a cooking competition:

1) We can use the internet/cookbooks but must change the recipe at least a little.

2) We must clean up the kitchen COMPLETELY.

3) (this rule was just for this competition) It MUST be edible.

So, like I said, it was a Pasta competition this time. We decided to have three teams:

1) Emilie, Josie, and I (Vivi)

2) Micah and Gab

3) Carter and Annette

Note: We made these yesterday and these pictures were just taken. We didn't want to eat them yesterday because we already had dinner planned, so we stuck them in the fridge. The pictures are of the pasta when it had already been in the fridge for a while.

Frappuccino Magic

So one of the things that we've been doing a lot of lately is making homemade frappuccinos. Yeah, I know, it's a little....well....weird...but it's really yummy! Posting this is an absolute MUST.

Caramel Frappuccino Recipe

3 min | 2 min prep
SERVES 2
• 1/2 cup cold coffee
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• 1/2 cup milk
• 2 cups ice
• 3 tablespoons caramel sundae syrup
• whipped cream
1. Combine all ingredients into electric blender.
2. Blend drink until ice is crushed and drink is smooth.
3. Serve in coffee cups and top with whipped cream and caramel syrup (if desired).
4. Add straw for ease in drinking.


(Why would anyone say add a straw for ease in drinking??)

So, anyway, you guys should REALLY try this out. The only thing I like to change is that I usually add more ice since it's a little liquidy with only the amount it says.

My name

I don't exactly like my name, but Vivi was really wanting to get this started; so I kind of had to put it up there. So yeah...I'm still thinking about it...

Hi, guys!

This is a post with two purposes. We didn't want our first post to be like an extremely boring one with practically nothing to say, so we're also posting a video we made and wanted to show you.

There are a couple of things we wanted to make clear about it: The reason they were doing gymnastics in the basement was because their swim team practice got thundered out, so they're wearing their bathing suits under (so they didn't bother to tuck their shirts in). The clothes they're wearing are mostly not the ones they would wear normally--just swim team/tennis ones. Also, Emilie is judge.

Our movie is very fuzzy on YouTube (much more so than just on iMovie), and it stops to load frequently, so it would be better if you muted your computer and let it run all the way through once before you watched it. It takes maybe about 5 minutes, but that way it doesn't stop even once to load. When you see it only in parts like that, you can't see how it all fits together as well. And also, if you watch it and have to wait for it to load every 5 seconds, you probably won't want to watch the whole thing. It would take so long.

Oh, and the title of our movie is "Them". I know it's uncreative and boring, but that's what it is.
